The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke to the leaders of the European Union gathered for a summit in Brussels and made specific reflections and requests.

«Ukrainian skies and those of our neighbors deserve the same security. And I thank all those who perceive our need for security as a need for security that is the same for everyone, because all lives have the same value – he said -. Our ability to defend ourselves from Russian terror and the weapons in the hands of our soldiers is something that works not only for Ukraine, but for all of you. And I thank each of you who understand this and act accordingly." In short, Zelensky wanted to point out that Kiev does not have the same level of air defense as Israel, believing that the latter enjoyed "privileged treatment".

«This morning in Ukraine began with another Russian terrorist attack. They hit our city of Chernihiv. Cruise missiles against civilian buildings. Many houses and a hospital were damaged, a hotel was completely destroyed. People were under the rubble. In total, more than 60 people were injured, including children. Unfortunately, 17 people were killed. This is what happens every day. It reflects our current main need: the need for air defense,” the Ukrainian president added.
