London, horses fleeing through the streets: four injured

Hectic moments in London, after four army horses escaped from the stables.

The animals ran amok through the streets near Buckingham Palace and four people were injured in the commotion.

The images published in the UK media also reveal the damage caused by the passage of horses on some vehicles.

It is not yet clear whether the animals unhorsed their riders and then galloped off.

After the alarm and the "mad rush" in City traffic, the horses were then intercepted, blocked and returned to the stables.
