Here is Trump's "secret plan" to end the war in Ukraine
The Washington Post: «If re-elected, The Donald will pressure Kiev to leave Crimea and Donbass to Moscow». The reply: «Fake news»Donald Trump has a "secret plan" to end the conflict in Ukraine.
This was revealed by the Washington Post , citing high-level sources who chose to remain anonymous but who have had conversations on the subject with Trump himself and his entourage.
According to what was reported by the authoritative US newspaper, in the event of re-election in the presidential elections next autumn, the Republican tycoon would already have clear ideas on the strategy to adopt to bring an end to the hostilities between Kiev and Moscow.
The solution he has in mind, however, would essentially "reward" the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin.
«Trump's proposal – writes the Washington Post – consists in pushing Ukraine to cede Crimea and the Donbass region to Russia». All this while also threatening, if not actually deliberating, a definitive stop to aid to Kiev.
“This approach, so far unprecedented, would drastically reverse President Biden's policy, which has always focused on reducing Russian aggression and providing military aid to Ukraine,” the WP article then underlines.
Again, a source reveals, «privately, Trump said that he thought both Russia and Ukraine “want to save face, they want a way out” and that people in some parts of Ukraine would gladly accept to be part of Russia."
«Allowing Russian control over parts of Ukraine – the Washington Post article notes – would broaden the scope of Putin's dictatorship after what was the largest land war in Europe since the Second World War». For this reason, while some support the "plan", other Trump supporters have already warned him of the risks that a substantial Russian victory would entail, starting with the repercussions on NATO and on the relationship between the US and its European allies.
The response from Trump's entourage to the WP article was not long in coming: "Just fake news," commented Jason Miller, an advisor to the Republican candidate's campaign.
Miller insisted that the tycoon "will not agree on a peace plan until he is in office and can adequately evaluate all options."
“They're just making it up,” the advisor continued in a statement to the New York Post, adding: “Trump is the only one talking about stopping the killing. Joe Biden speaks of further killings."
