Enrico Berlinguer's tomb vandalized in the Prima Porta cemetery in Rome.

His daughter, the journalist Bianca Berlinguer, reports it, posting photos of the destroyed vases on social media: «In the forty years since dad's death – she writes – his tomb has always been full of flowers brought by many people who stopped for a thought and a tribute. And this has always been a great comfort for us children."

«In the last month – he continues – the tomb has been vandalized twice by someone (one or more people) : vases destroyed, flowers thrown away and flowerbeds trampled. A cowardly and ignoble act."

An act also condemned by the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein: «Enrico Berlinguer's tomb has been vandalized again. It is a cowardly and ignoble gesture. But it motivates us even more to carry on his memory, 40 years after his passing."
