Thus the entrepreneur Aldo Spinelli responding to the questions of the judge and the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office who accuses him of having paid bribes amounting to 75 thousand euros over three years to the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti to obtain favors and resolutions .

His sentences are reported today by Corriere della Sera and other newspapers.

Spinelli also claimed the legitimacy of his donations: « I gave funding to everyone, always respecting the law. Even Bonino, who I didn't even know ."

Among the favors he received, according to the Prosecutor's Office, was the 30-year extension of the state concession for the Rinfuse terminal , which allowed the company to significantly increase its market value. But Toti would not have been able to keep other promises: Spinelli would later specify in the interrogation, he was referring to the privatization of the beach of Punta dell'Olmo di Varrazze, where he built a real estate complex with his son . There, however, due to a directive from Bolkestein, nothing could be done.

Leaving the courtroom Spinelli, who is under house arrest, declared to the crowd of journalists: " I answered everyone, I think I deserve freedom."

Yesterday his son Roberto Spinelli was also questioned, who reiterated what emerged from the wiretaps in the investigation documents. That is, he did not agree with his father and did not share his entrepreneurial management "of pouring money into politics" , in this case to the Toti committee.
