Head-on collision between cars, two women killed. The cause of the crash was a lack of right of way

The death toll from the dramatic road accident that occurred during the night in the Mantua area is two. In Pegognaga, at an intersection on provincial road 49, two cars collided, perhaps due to a lack of right of way. Two women died, they were traveling in a small car. They were 73 and 80 years old. In the other car, a BMW, there was a twenty-year-old who was unharmed.

The elderly lived in Suzzara di Mantua and in Rio Saliceto, in the Reggio Emilia area.

From what has been reconstructed, they were about to enter the provincial road and would not have given precedence to the BMW arriving from the left.

The 73-year-old, who was at the wheel, died instantly, while the rescuers tried in vain to resuscitate her.
