Fassino and duty free perfume, six witnesses against him: «At least three episodes in a month»
The magistrates of Civitavecchia could enter the name of the deputy in the register of suspectsThere are at least six people who witnessed the theft of a bottle of Chanel perfume by MP Piero Fassino in the duty free shop of Terminal 1 in Fiumicino . Six similar versions which point to the deputy, and with little doubt, as the perpetrator of the shoplifting episode of April 15th .
The case, which also makes use of the related videos filed, is now in the hands of the magistrates of Civitavecchia , who could soon enter Fassino's name in the register of suspects .
The crime in question is theft , but the issue to be solved concerns the possible recurrence . According to investigators, on April 15th only the last of a series of episodes occurred, all in the last month. The first case – as the Corriere explains – in recent weeks while waiting for a flight to Strasbourg. In that episode the Democratic MP allegedly took a perfume by passing beyond the perimeter of the checkouts without paying. Stopped by the security guards, he reached into his wallet to pay the bill. All under the watchful eye of the cameras that recorded. Then a second time, a few days later, same store and same item, a perfume. In that case the MP left without paying and the security decided to let it go. Then the last episode, with Fassino stopped by the vigilantes.
The tenuousness of the fact is in favor of the dem deputy, now the magistrates will have to decide what to do.
