Elderly woman attacked at home by her five dogs, arms amputated

An 83-year-old woman was attacked in her home by her five large dogs and had both arms amputated.

The incident occurred in Mortise, in the Padua area. The police saved the old woman: they intervened in the apartment on the first floor of the building and, after having removed the animals, they rescued the woman who was lying unconscious on the ground.

Then 118 took the 83-year-old to Padua hospital, where following the serious injuries he suffered he had to have his entire right arm and left forearm amputated.

The woman is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis, but her life is not in danger.
