The funeral of Paolo Durzu, one of the two victims of the Cala Fighera tragedy, will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday in the church of Sant'Antonio in Quartu. The thirty-three-year-old was the second body recovered , on Friday morning, after that of his girlfriend Manola Mascia – aged 29 – who was found in the early afternoon of last Wednesday .

The funeral of the girl has not yet been scheduled, but it is almost certain that it will also be held on Wednesday in the San Michele neighborhood of Cagliari , where she lived. This morning the bodies were returned to their respective families . The coroner, Roberto Demontis, completed the necropsy examinations last Saturday, confirming what emerged from the first external examination of the bodies: the wounds that caused the death were in fact compatible with the fall from the rocky ridge . The results of the toxicological and histological tests are now awaited.

The investigators of the Cagliari police station's mobile squad, coordinated by Davide Carboni, are ready to analyze Durzu's cell phone , recovered in the purse near his girlfriend's body and from which useful elements could come to reconstruct the last hours of the couple's life. Further elements are also expected from the footage of the cameras in the area .

The hypothesis remains that of a tragic accident: the two loved Cala Fighera very much, they often organized day trips on the promontory, even entering areas forbidden to pass due to the continuous landslides and mudslides. The last walk was fatal for them, at the same point where a cross recalls similar tragedies .
