The regional council opens up to the opposition and agrees to evaluate the "substantial" amendments prepared by the opposition to bill 15 on the 18-month stop to the construction of renewable energy plants in Sardinia.
A conciliatory signal between the centre-left and the centre-right with the aim of approving a shared law as soon as possible, perhaps already in tomorrow's session. The opposition asks for improvements and the majority, after a clarification in the conference of the group leaders in the presence of the governor, said they were ready to weigh the proposed changes.
The appeal thus comes from the broad field, directly in the Chamber during the general discussion on the bill, to colleagues from the centre-right: « We would like this law to belong to the entire Council, that it becomes the law of all Sardinians and that it reaches Rome with all possible force ", underlines Antonio Solinas, PD president of the fifth commission (Productive Activities) which together with the fourth (Territorial Government) examined and approved the text. «Let's take off our belonging shirt, there will be other moments in which we will discuss what Sardinia's energy future will be», he specifies, referring to the transitory nature of the bill, reiterated several times even by President Todde herself. Solinas then thanks his political opponents for "the climate of great collaboration seen in the commission" and hopes that the debate in the Chamber can also follow the same methods.
But
the representatives of the minority continue to highlight their doubts about the provision: «Without corrections or improvements, this rule is dangerous and will bring more damage than benefits - clarifies Cristina Usai (FdI) - because important aspects are not taken into consideration, such as the real blocking of speculation, not to mention offshore wind power».The emergency nature of blocking incoming requests from multinationals is at the center of the interventions of the majority councillors : «If we don't block now the requests will increase further - explains Gianluca Mandas (M5s) -, the Region is gearing up to being able to have time to regulate and decide in these 18 months the energy future of Sardinia, and consequently the environmental model for the island that depends on it, a future that must also pass through the regional energy agency that will protect our children and grandchildren from the speculation of the energy lobbies."
The president of the assembly, Piero Comandini, has convened the Council for tomorrow, Thursday 27 June, at 9.30.
