Bad weather emergency in Sardinia with red alert for the whole day today and until midnight.

Several areas in these hours have been hit by storms and strong winds and the first damages have been recorded with flooded roads and collapses.

Many municipalities have closed schools and parks. Bosa is among the most affected centres , with numerous streets covered in water and mud. A canopy collapsed and fell onto the parked cars, luckily no one was injured. The road to Montresta was closed due to falling rocks, the Temo exceeded its banks, overflowing from the Santu Crispu dam and began to cross the town.

As a precaution, six people were evacuated to an elderly center (three couples with reduced mobility) while some moored boats were dragged towards the sea. The floating dock in front of the old tanneries was damaged.
