Cagliari changes after the defeat in Bologna and arrives in Verona with several changes. Some are forced, like the absence of Yerry Mina, others are Fabio Pisacane's choice, who overhauled the lineup . The biggest is the exclusion of Sebastiano Esposito, still without a goal in Serie A. Gennaro Borrelli, reinstated from the starting lineup after being benched last Sunday following the goal in Udine, will be supported by Gianluca Gaetano, who is expected to form a 3-5-1-1. Joseph Liteta, who is starting in midfield, will also make his professional debut.
In defense, with the Colombian remaining in Sardinia due to a muscle injury sustained last Sunday , Sebastiano Luperto is out of the center back, replaced by Zé Pedro, called upon to redeem himself after two games marked by glaring errors, along with Gabriele Zappa and Adam Obert. On the wings, Marco Palestra and another product of the Rossoblu youth academy, Riyad Idrissi, play higher up . The midfield is rounded out by Michael Folorunsho (a former player) and Matteo Prati. Among the bench players is Leonardo Pavoletti, who broke the deadlock in the last Verona-Cagliari match six months ago.
Here are the official lineups for Verona-Cagliari: the match will kick off at 3:00 PM, with referee Federico Dionisi of the L'Aquila section in charge . Unionesarda.it will provide live coverage of the match, while Radiolina will feature live commentary from the Bentegodi Stadium, with pre- and post-match coverage by Lele Casimi .
