Emanuele Sircana, the twenty-year-old accused of the murder of Mario Sedda, the 39-year-old street poet from Porto Torres on the night between March 29 and 30, 2021, has availed himself of the right to remain silent. Appearing this morning before the preliminary investigations judge of the juvenile court of Quartucciu, to undergo preliminary questioning, the young man made spontaneous statements, maintaining that he was not the perpetrator of the murder .

Sircana is assisted by the lawyer Alessandra Delrio. He was 16 when Sedda was first tortured and then killed : his body was found on April 1, 2021, in the green area between via dell'Erica and via Sassari, at the entrance to the city. The lawyer Delrio is waiting for the conclusion of the investigations by the Prosecutor's Office, in the meantime the young man will remain locked up in the juvenile prison of Quartucciu .

He is accused of aggravated murder for having used torture and for having acted with cruelty , as well as of desecration of a corpse for having disfigured the body with chemical products.
