The Carabinieri are tightening their network to shed light on the serious attack that occurred last night at the Quartucciu local police headquarters . Several people have already been questioned, while the investigation continues unabated.

Officers from the Quartu Operations and Mobile Radio Unit and the Selargius and Monserrato stations were mobilized. They were the first to arrive when flames engulfed three local police vehicles : a Jeep pickup, an electric Renault, and a Fiat Doblò, all severely damaged. The perpetrator, according to surveillance footage, is a man who, after climbing over the fence, headed toward the parked cars, starting the fire before fleeing.

This morning, the Carabinieri, coordinated by Lieutenant Daniele Revelant, commander of the Quartu Company, returned to the scene for a further thorough inspection, which would have allowed them to identify further useful evidence . A search was also carried out, while surveillance footage is being examined, which could prove crucial to the investigation.

Investigators are trying to determine whether it was a lone attack or whether the perpetrator had accomplices.
