Several hundred people attended, with great emotion, the funeral of Andrea Capone, this afternoon at the parish of Santissimo Croficisso in via Zagabria in Cagliari in the Genneruxi neighborhood.

On the coffin, the “Capone 10” shirt , the number he wore in his last season in red and blue, for the last farewell to the former footballer who died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 43. Also pallbearing the coffin was his former teammate David Suazo, who remained among his best friends.

Among those present were many of his relatives, friends and former teammates, with the Cagliari Calcio representatives in the front row together with the family, with the sports director Nereo Bonato, the general sports secretary Matteo Stagno, the team manager of the first team Alessandro Steri, his former teammate Andrea Cossu (now in the scouting area of the rossoblù club) and the head of the youth sector Bernardo Mereu, the latter a great friend of the Capone family and who was very close to Andrea's father, Franco.

About a hundred people remained outside the church, because there was no more room inside.
