Ranieri defends Cagliari: «Perhaps our best game, then there are the episodes»

Great bitterness at Cagliari, for how the draw arrived again at the end with Südtirol ( HERE THE REPORT ) Claudio Ranieri, after the 1-1 draw for Domus, congratulates his team anyway. "I'm very pragmatic: I was and am very happy with our performance because it was perhaps the best match, but the episode condemned us," he said immediately after the match.
«The team has found its set-up, there's disappointment because after creating so much we weren't able to finish the match. I think more thanks to the opposing goalkeeper, we did everything there was to do. Today we are all disappointed, but when training resumes the players will realize they played a great match».
The regret. If there's something Ranieri wants to insist on, it's not having found the double before the penalty scored by the ex Larrivey. «I said I wanted to average two points per game, we're down. However, if I train this team in direct matches, maybe we have a 5% advantage if we get to the playoffs: this is my mentality, we aim for the maximum. At the end of the game I congratulated the boys because I asked for a performance and I'm happy. Then there are the episodes, positive and negative».
On the singles: «Lapadula has the motivation to do well within himself, with him I have to work little in this sense. Makoumbou is improving, now he is able to recover and sort the ball by bringing it less and less. Everyone had great performances and a great game. The changes? The players were tired and they had created very little».
