Fabio Pisacane had hinted at the possibility of a Mendy-Nzola attacking partnership for Monza-Cagliari in yesterday's pre-match press conference , and the official lineups confirm this. For the first time, the Angolan striker has started a competitive match, following his performance in the friendly against Rayo Vallecano during the international break, where he also scored. The formation has therefore changed from 4-3-2-1 to 4-3-1-2. Jacopo Fazzini is once again left out, as is captain Alessandro Deiola.

The rest of the Rossoblu players starting will be those already seen (successfully) in the first half of the season. Former great Daniel Maldini, who scored in Monza-Cagliari – wearing the red and white jersey – in 2024, will be looking to score for the fifth consecutive match. Assistant coach Giacomo Murelli will be on the bench, as Pisacane is suspended after his red card for an altercation with Luciano Spalletti following the match against Juventus .

Here are the probable lineups for Monza-Cagliari: the teams will be on the pitch at 6:30 pm, with Andrea Calzavara of the Varese section as referee . Live coverage is available on unionesarda.it, with Radiolina providing a link-up half an hour before kick-off, followed by the post-match coverage .
