Fiorentina, who have been in Sardinia since yesterday, were supposed to be leaving Cagliari airport right now to return to Tuscany. But the decision to immediately recover has meant that the Viola will remain on the island . As is known, the match of the thirty-third day of Serie A scheduled for 3:00 p.m. will not be played as scheduled, postponed - like all other sporting events - due to the death of Pope Francis . The date of the recovery has just been set: Wednesday - the day after tomorrow - at 6:30 p.m.
The Lega Serie A met urgently and decided when to play the matches: in addition to Cagliari-Fiorentina, Torino-Udinese (scheduled for 12:30), Genoa-Lazio (at 18:00) and Parma-Juventus (at 20:45) were postponed . The matches were all rescheduled to be played at the same time, also on Wednesday at 18:30. In the next round, the rossoblù will be playing on Monday 28th at 20:45 in Verona, while the viola will host Empoli on Sunday at 15:00. Fiorentina will play the Conference League semi-finals against Real Betis on Thursday 1st and Thursday 8th May, which is why it was not possible to postpone them further .
The two Coppa Italia semi-finals have also been confirmed: the Inter-Milan derby on Wednesday (first leg 1-1) and Bologna-Empoli on Thursday (first leg 3-0), both at 9 pm .
