A new 2 billion dollar aid package for Kiev is arriving from the US .

The Bloomberg agency reports it, citing some sources and confirmation from the Pentagon should arrive in the next few hours. The funding – awarded through Ukraine's Security Assistance Initiative – is expected to facilitate the acquisition of missile launchers and Hawk missiles , as well as two advanced Patriot air defense missile systems . One component of the package is the Patriot Advanced Capability Missile-3 (Pac-3) manufactured by Lockheed Martin. The other is the Guidance Enhanced Missile (Gem-T) manufactured by Raytheon Technologies, which boasts improved capabilities in countering tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and enemy aircraft, complementing the Pac-3 missile system.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting continues in the Donbass region and in the Zaporizhzhia region to the south. And " the beginning of the Ukrainian counteroffensive ", as it is defined by the Western media, also had repercussions in Kherson, submerged by water - after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in the south of the country - for 600 square kilometers.

Maximum alert also at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant where not enough water is arriving from the dam. And the cooling systems would be on guard level. But the IAEA assures that "the situation in the plant is under control" . On the front, however, the situation is confused : the Ukrainians themselves admit that they encounter strong resistance from the Russians, who react by any means, forcing them to fight for every inch. And even if some American media cite anonymous Ukrainian military sources to support the start of the long-awaited counter-offensive, supported by Western weapons, the official sources in Kiev limit themselves to describing the situation as an intensification of fighting , presented more as active defense actions by the Russians.
