The parents of Alessia Piperno, the 30-year-old Italian stopped in Iran in recent days and detained in a Tehran prison , were received at the Foreign Ministry. The meeting took place with the director general of Italians abroad, Luigi Maria Vignali, who reaffirmed the commitment of the Farnesina and guaranteed consular assistance . The young woman was arrested , as it became known, with other friends while celebrating her birthday on September 28 and probably, at the same time, demonstrations were underway following the death in detention of Mahsa Amini , who ended up in handcuffs because she did not she wore the Islamic veil correctly.

The girl would be in Evin prison in Tehran , she would be taken there immediately after the arrest and from that same prison she would call for help.

His father Alberto explained that his daughter, a travel blogger, has been touring various states for years "always adapting to local laws" and "with great respect".
