A room, two cousins who welcome an old man, alone, abandoned, unemployed, homeless. This is the incipit of the show "La voliera dei canarini" scheduled for tomorrow and Thursday at 9 pm on the stage of the Teatro Astra in Sassari. The title is included in the review " Primavera a Teatro" , organized by the Compagnia Teatro Sassari which offers a theatrical journey through classics of literature, works of strong social impact and contemporary productions.

"La voliera dei canarini" is a text written and directed by Mario Lubino , interpreted by Claudio Dionisi, Stefano Dionisi and Alberto Lubino . What distinguishes the play is the senseless coexistence of the characters. We are faced with what we could define as the theater of the absurd. Madness is present in this text and highlights the weakness of the assistance system towards the different, the abandonment to which the elderly are subjected for various reasons, in an increasingly opulent and increasingly selfish society.
