White balloons in Silì for the funeral of Chiara Carta

In front of the church in the hamlet of Oristano waiting for the coffin, huddled in great emotion, are the classmates of the 13-year-old, the mayor, the entire junta, the municipal councilors, the prosecutor Mammone, representatives of the police, carabinieri and Guardia di finance, together with the traffic police. Chiara's father is also part of the local police, and it was he who almost a week ago found the body of his now lifeless daughter on the floor in the bathroom.
The mayor has decreed city mourning for today .
The small white coffin made its entrance into the church, covered with roses. The funeral ceremony is officiated by Archbishop Roberto Carboni.
Last night the vigil was held with a thousand people who, candles in hand, paid homage to the very young victim of the crime.
