The victim, Mattia Miscali, 20 years old, who was traveling on the passenger side, was thrown out of the passenger compartment after the impact with the head of the guardrail. While the other four (not three as a reference at first), three from Villanova Strisaili and one from Arzana, aged between 20 and 17, remained stuck inside the vehicle and were extracted from the car by the firefighters . According to an initial reconstruction, carried out by the Lanusei traffic police officers, this is the dynamics of the tragic crash which occurred at dawn in Tortolì.

The young people were returning from an evening in Lotzorai and were traveling on the Orientale, towards Tortolì, when at the junction for the industrial area the driver lost control of the sedan, which skidded to the right . The driver, in a desperate attempt to correct the manoeuvre, invaded the oncoming lane and the car crashed into the head of the side barrier that runs along the ramp connecting the industrial area of Baccasara and the state road.

The impact was extremely violent: the guardrail broke through the car and Miscali flew out of the Golf which was left without a door on the passenger side. The police information landed on the table of the magistrate on duty at the Lanusei Prosecutor's Office who will almost certainly prepare a case. The driver of the Golf, in all likelihood, risks charges of vehicular homicide and road injuries.
