The numbers of the Court of Auditors: more proceedings and decisions, attention to expenses with funds from the NRP

The so-called "fear of signing", which would block administrative work, is "emphasized". Attention to large resources, which refer to "organized crime", and it is "a mistake to mitigate the safeguards of legality and guarantee of correct work". De-responsibility "involves higher costs" and is an "illogical choice". In 2021, 27 sentences were pronounced for pecuniary damage concerning regional councilors for a total of 3,430,465 euros and a high school teacher held responsible for image damage for having been convicted of sexual violence and a former councilor were brought to trial regional government that had used public money to cover the costs of their marriage.

In the first two months of the year, eleven invitations to deduct and 26 summons were issued for a total of € 3 million in damages. GDP is growing, but “there is no development without ethics”.
