The fires in Sardinia continue. Twelve fires were reported on the island today, including the rekindling of yesterday's large fire in Silanus , near Marapiga , which consumed 20 hectares of wooded pasture. The extinguishing operations were coordinated by the Nuoro Forestry Corps Station with the support of helicopters from Anela and Farcana. Three Forestas teams from construction sites in Bolotana, Macomer, and Orgosolo were also on site.
Another large-scale fire has broken out in Silanus , near Su Nodu de su Priugu : the flames are affecting approximately 30 hectares of woodland. The operation, which is still underway, involves the Gavoi Forestry Corps, the CFVA-GAUF of Nuoro, four helicopters (including the Super Puma from Alà dei Sardi and Fenosu), and several ground teams, including the local Barracelli and the firefighters from Bolotana and Macomer.
In Siniscola, a fire burned approximately 1 hectare of wooded pasture: the Forestry Station, the Super Puma helicopter from Alà dei Sardi , two Forestas teams, and the Fire Brigade all responded to the scene. Another fire was put out in the Burgos countryside, in the R. Truveinerva area, thanks to the intervention of the Benetutti Forestry Station, the Farcana helicopter, a team from the Forestas Agency from Bono, and the Barracelli from Esporlatu.
