The good poet, extraordinarily good, respected by all. Sinnai weeps one of the best "cantadori" in the Campidanese language who for decades has filled the poetic evenings in Campidano and beyond.
Antonio Grifagno died at 88, leaving an indelible memory in everyone: a meek, simple man, profound poet. In the afternoon in Sinnai the funeral will take place in the parish church of Santa Barbara.
Protagonist of unforgettable evenings on stage singing Sardinia too, "Tziu Antonino Grifagno" in 2017 also won the first Ozieri prize for Sardinian literature by virtue of the first place in the "poetry and cantigu" section obtained with the composition "Lingua longa". A prestigious award with the poet received in the Town Hall again in 2017 by the then mayor Matteo Aledda and his council. "An award - it was said - to thank tziu Antoninu for the dedication in profusing Sardinian culture with ardor and pride in the poetic expression of singing, for the constant commitment that sees him involved in transmitting art to our young people". As if to say that he was also a teacher, helping to give continuity to the art of improvised singing.
