New parade of witnesses at the trial in Nuoro against the 13 shepherds accused of road blocking for the street demonstrations of 8 and 13 February 2019 , in full battle for the recognition of a fair price for sheep's milk in Sardinia.

The trial, which will continue with two separate hearings on November 9 , was divided into two parts . In the first, nine defendants are charged with the protests of 8 February : the panel of judges chaired by Federica Meloni heard the prosecution's witness, Dr. Rita Morelli, deputy commissioner in Nuoro at the time of the strikes, which described the facts and explained that the roadway was blocked "with the bodies of the people who climbed over the guardrail and spilled the milk" . Also heard from an assistant chief of the Siniscola police station who produced the video footage in which several participants were identified , including the defendants.

For the demonstration on February 13 , which sees 4 other pastors at the bar, the president Meloni always heard the defense witness Bustianu Cumpostu, leader of Sardigna Natzione and present that day at the demonstration: "There was no block with the vehicles on the roadway but a peaceful demonstration of people in a very popular demonstration also by schoolchildren. It was also possible to pass through the provincial roads "added Cumpostu.

For the lawyer Giulia Lai, who together with Michele Zuddas, Adriano Sollai, Marcella Cabras defends the shepherds , "once again it was confirmed that the demonstrations took place regularly and that it was the people who occupied the roadway, not the means. A peaceful demonstration with hundreds of people ".
