Water has been out for the second consecutive day in Quartu. Following yesterday's failure , another main pipe broke on Via Manara. Water supply is suspended in the town center; service is only available along the coast.

Abbanoa teams are back at work. The fault affects a 300 mm diameter steel primary pipe located on Via Manara, at the corner of Via Tommaseo, different from the one affected by yesterday's break. The leak is significant, as the images show; welding must be performed without any water remaining inside.

For this reason, the city's reservoir had to be shut down, with residents experiencing pressure drops and interruptions until the afternoon, particularly in the upper reaches of the town and on the upper floors of apartment buildings. Full service is expected to return around 4:30 PM. Water along the coast remains available because it is fed by another aqueduct.

Abbanoa reports that when the water supply resumes, the water may be temporarily cloudy due to the emptying and subsequent refilling of the pipes.
