A tribute to the founding prince of the Costa SmeraldaVideo di Caterina De Roberto
Everything is ready in Porto Cervo's central square for the naming ceremony in honor of Karim Aga Khan IV, the founder of the Costa Smeralda and a figure who profoundly influenced the history and development of the Gallura region.
His son, Rahim Aga Khan V, arrived shortly after to witness the tribute, arriving in the square with his two children and his uncle Amyn. The prince spoke with the mayor of Arzachena, Roberto Ragnedda, and the president of the Region, Alessandra Todde, who were also present at the ceremony.
This award is dedicated to the man who, starting in the 1960s, envisioned and transformed this part of Sardinia into one of the world's most renowned tourist destinations, combining development, architecture, and landscape conservation.
