"There is only someone's desire to defame me and put me in a bad light, and this a few days after the serious attack on the Municipality ." Franco Saba, mayor of Ottana, is somewhere between bitter and angry.

After two years, for a few days now, a photo taken two years ago during Carnival has been circulating on some private chats. Three of them, including a councillor, had made themselves immortal in the mayor's office, dressed as a fascist hierarch (Mussolini) and then as two famous dictators of the time.

«Every year for the Carnival the most disparate themes are chosen to dress up in - specifies Franco Saba -, in the town we have seen Mao, Stalin, Mussolini, Freddie Mercury, Andreotti and many different characters parade. In the afternoon, the three had gone up to the town hall for coffee during their tour of houses and offices in the town just to get invited."

According to the mayor at Carnival, and that of Ottana is one of the most famous not only for traditional masks, "everything goes". «But - specifies Franco Saba - now whoever thought of resurrecting that photo is doing it to hit me. And it's not nice especially in these days when there has been no shortage of tensions." This is why the mayor decided to file a complaint.
