Oristano, school fire on August 15th: the culprit arrested, a young boy.

The Oristano police have identified and reported the young man who, on August 15th, started the fire that destroyed the “Don Deodato Meloni” school in Via Diaz, Oristano : the damage to the institute, which houses several classes of the hotel management, classical high school and teacher training colleges, was very extensive.

The investigation's successful outcome was the result of careful and rapid investigations carried out by officers from the Flying Squad, including analysis of images recorded by the Municipality's video surveillance system and supported by investigations carried out at the crime scene by personnel from the provincial Forensic Police office, who collected several important fingerprints on site.

The position of the accused, already known to law enforcement, a minor, is now being examined by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Juvenile Court of Cagliari.
