The medical condition of the 12-year-old girl involved in a serious car accident on September 11th near Nuoro has dramatically worsened. According to health sources, the medical commission was convened this morning to begin procedures to determine brain death.

The young woman, transferred in recent days from the San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro to the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome, had undergone delicate neurosurgery and was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. The accident, involving three cars, occurred on the road leading to the city of Nuoro, resulting in ten injuries, including the young girl, who immediately appeared in critical condition.

His clinical conditions, initially stable after the surgery, have worsened in the last few hours, leading to today's decision to initiate the legally required process for determining brain death, which requires repeated clinical, instrumental, and neurological examinations over a period of at least six hours.
