The times and the money are there, now we need to identify the areas in which to build the hospitals .
Health councilor Carlo Doria talks about the resolution on the construction of new structures on the island on the sidelines of the presentation of the blood donation campaign.
«Times aren't tight, even the universe and the Earth weren't made in a day, but we have to start. The hospitals that we have identified for Sardinia are necessary, we need them to give citizens modern and efficient healthcare ».
The funds: «There are many, free and usable, there are the savings from the provisions on the revenue dispute, the structural funds of the Por. We are in a position to build all the approved hospitals, now we need to start immediately with the service conferences and identify the areas suitable for the construction of works of this kind that need different characteristics from the hospitals of the past".
Areas that "must be public so as not to waste time on purchases or expropriations".
After the services conferences, the councilor expects the delivery of the feasibility studies in early August, then the phase of the design tenders will start.
On the Brotzu of Cagliari, as feared by the opposition, all the tenders and procedures already launched as part of the project that provides for a new technological plate must be "remodulated, i.e. blocked and reviewed" , for which the first 5 million tender has already started . "If we decide in this direction - explains the exponent of the Giunta Solinas - there would be no reason to make investments in a structure that would be destined for something else ".
