Twenty years each for Rubens and Brian Carta , the two brothers accused of killing the pensioner Antonio Porcu at the end of a robbery that ended in tragedy , in February 2022.

This is what the public prosecutor Marco De Crescenzo asked during the long hearing celebrated with the abbreviated procedure.

According to the prosecution's reconstruction, the two brothers aged 32 and 28 had broken into the old man's home to rob him. However, the man had surprised them and was then brutally attacked and beaten to death .

For the defenders Agostinangelo Marras, Marco Spanu and Fabio Messina it was not voluntary homicide, but manslaughter . The declassification of the crime to attempted robbery was also requested.

The judge for the preliminary hearings, Marco Mascia, has granted a postponement for any replies to next June 16th. The victim's family members, who filed a civil action, are protected by the lawyer Luciano Rubattu.
