Around 11, Macciò was riding his motorcycle, heading towards Viale Sant'Avendrace, when a car in front of him braked to let some pedestrians cross.
It is not yet clear if the singer hit the vehicle or if he lost control in an attempt to avoid it: he crashed to the ground, suffering very serious injuries.
Rescued by a 118 ambulance team, given his condition he was intubated and transported in red code to Brotzu. Immediate transfer to the intensive care unit: the prognosis is reserved. Nicola Macciò – Joe Perrino – is in danger of life.
