The former councilor Gabriella Murgia and the head physician Tomaso Cocco asked for a relaxation of the precautionary measure .
The lawyers of the former member of the Solinas council and of the head of pain therapy at Marino in Cagliari, indicated by the investigators as the point of connection between the criminal groups and the institutions and ended up in prison as part of the maxi investigation of the DDA of Cagliari on an alleged mafia association operating on the island , they filed requests for review of the precautionary measures at the Court of Freedom.

The decision could arrive next week, given that the interrogations of all 31 arrested people, 13 in prison and 18 under house arrest, will be concluded by Monday. The judge is called upon to decide whether to keep the former councilor and the head physician in prison or revoke the measure or mitigate it.
Meanwhile, the ROS carabinieri are acquiring other material and documentation, it is not excluded that the investigation could lead to new suspects .
All the people questioned so far, from white collar workers to the alleged supporters of Graziano Mesina's fugitive, have availed themselves of the right not to answer . A few, including Murgia, issued spontaneous statements to proclaim their innocence, but did not answer the investigating judge's questions.
