Davide Manca is missing. The search for the forty-one-year-old who has been missing since Saturday night, when his off-road vehicle was swept away by a flood wave while he was trying to ford the Rio Camboni in Monte Arcosu, during the violent storm that devastated Southern Sardinia, will continue tomorrow. All seven of his hiking companions, headed to Baracca Sassa, in the Siliqua area, were safe.

Even today the banks of the watercourse were patrolled and firefighter divers went into the pools. It has been impossible, so far, to explore the basin of the Medau Zirimilis dam, downstream from the point of disappearance: the waters - 7 million cubic meters were flooded in a few hours - are still too turbid.

Tomorrow, both the fire brigade specialists and the Alpine rescue volunteers will return to the area, moving the search dial, and this evening, Wednesday, they have developed the new action plan. So far, only pieces of Manca's off-road vehicle have been found, in addition to a garment that certainly belongs to him.

For tomorrow, the coordinated rescue device of the firefighters will be composed of the specialized river group, with operators expert in telecommunications who will install the transportable radiomobile bridge to facilitate connections. The Drago helicopter will also be operational: it will be used to transport the teams to the most inaccessible areas, impossible to reach by land due to the devastation caused by the flood.

The specialists will be supported tomorrow by a large group of volunteers, called to gather by Davide Manca's friends, off-road experts : they will also look for the forty-one-year-old. After a social appeal, the adhesions were very numerous. The appointment is for 7 at the crossroads near the Siliqua castle.
