Great emotion at the funeral of Pasquale Piras , the truck driver from Maracalagonis who drowned last week in the waters of the Porto Canale .
The man was driving his company truck which ended up in the water during a maneuver . Piras would have died by drowning.
Moving today are the words of comfort and faith spoken by the parish priest Don Elvio Puddu to the victim's wife, Luisella, and to their children Luigi and Francesca . Then the procession of faithful and friends of the truck driver, up to the cemetery for the burial ceremony.
Pasquale Piras, who was 59, was respected and known. A hard worker, very attached to his family, he was also an expert in driving large vehicles : the magistrate Rossana Allieri arranged a technical report on the truck, recovered by the fire brigade the day after the tragedy.
The same judge has opened an investigation for manslaughter at the moment without suspects.
