The operation of the Guardia di Finanza was triggered in the port of Cagliari during routine checks: the military stopped a truck as soon as it got off a ship.
It was carrying a large load of pellets.
The verification of the documents and the product, which became particularly expensive in this period, revealed a series of irregularities: the fuel obtained from the wood was counterfeit and therefore illegal .
The financiers thus carried out the seizure of the load and reported the driver of the truck for commercial fraud.
Investigations are continuing to understand if there is an illegal trafficking of pellets directed to the island by sea. The commercial port of Cagliari is under close observation.
