Human remains discovered in a stretch of sea near the island of Tavolara.

They were spotted this morning by a fisherman while using trawl nets.

According to reports , a wallet containing an identification document was also found, which would have allowed the body to be identified. The remains will now undergo further identification in Golfo Aranci. The Port Authority and the magistrate of the Tempio Pausania Court, Sara Martino, are on site.

They may belong to one of the two Deiana brothers, Giuseppe and Lorenzo, aged 24 and 20 from Olbia, who disappeared at dawn on 19 April 2025 after going out on a sport fishing trip aboard their small four-meter fiberglass boat, a Molinari outboard.

The family of the two young men has already been notified of their discovery. The search for the brothers had concentrated in the weeks following their disappearance in the Capo Figari area, where a life jacket, boots, and a backpack with a fishing rod were found in the sea, which the boys' mother recognized as belonging to her sons.
