A 48-year-old from San Sperate was denounced by the carabinieri after being stopped on the streets of Cagliari at the wheel of a stolen car.

The man was blocked, following a signal from the operations center in via Nuoro, while driving along via Pertusola at the wheel of a Citroen.

During the inspection, the car was found to be owned by a young girl from Cagliari, who had reported the theft on 11 April at the Arma di Pirri station.

At that point the man was made to get off and, after being identified, he was reported on the loose for receiving stolen goods.

The car, on the other hand, was returned to its rightful owner.
