Easter in Orgosolo for the Commander of the Carabinieri Legion of Sardinia . Brigadier General Stefano Iasson , accompanied by the Commander of Nuoro Gennaro Cassese, wanted to send a message after the recent attacks and threats to the mayor of the Barbagia municipality and to the representatives of the force themselves.

Iasson visited the Orgosolo Station to pay his respects to the Carabinieri and to express the Force's closeness to Vice Brigadier Mattia Chessa, the Commander who was recently the victim of death threats written by unknown persons on the wall of the small church of San Marco a Montes.

At the barracks, the Carabinieri illustrated the data on the Department's activity and General Iasson spoke with all the soldiers, urging them to continue operating with the utmost commitment and professionalism.

Afterwards, he attended the procession of “S'Incontru”, and here he met the mayor Pasquale Mereu – also a victim of death threats – to whom he assured the constant commitment of the Arma in defense of legality in the Barbagia center.
