Andrea Pinna must be acquitted. His lawyer Teresa Camoglio asked this before the Assize Court of Cagliari during the trial for the case of Fabio Serventi , who disappeared into thin air on March 21, 2020 from his home in Perdaxius.
"Not only has no premeditation been demonstrated, but in the trial there has not even been proof that he is the murderer," said the lawyer.
The 35-year-old is accused of killing and making the 24-year-old's body disappear . The body was never found.
Prosecutor Rossana Allieri urged the sentence to life imprisonment , which was also joined by the lawyers of the civil parties, Patrizio Rovelli and Fabrizio Rubiu.
Pinna is accused of the murder in competition with others, never identified, for a debt related to drugs and allegedly committed the crime on commission , but the alleged principal - still unknown - is therefore on the loose, Camoglio recalled. "In exchange for what would he have killed? Of 5,000 euros which were not even given?" Asked the criminal lawyer.
Pinna himself revealed to his friends that he had killed Minions , words recorded in an environmental interception : "They will never find the body - he said -, only I know where it is".
But even on this Camoglio has an explanation: " He always told lies , telling of having carried out robberies that he had not committed and that he had been in prison even if it was not true".
"The family will not stop - the lawyer Rovelli announced - will go on to find the body and understand if there are principals".
The trial was adjourned to July 15 for replies and sentence.
