Colleagues from the San Severo police station are organizing a fundraiser for the family of Sebastiano Marrone, the Carabiniere from Buddusò who died at just 23 years old in a car accident while on duty in the Foggia area.
"Today we are turning to you," reads a message on the GoFundme platform signed by Carabinieri officers Federica Salandra and Pellegrino Campodipietro, "to ask for a small but important gesture of solidarity: help to support his family in this moment of immense pain."
The two promoters add, "We want this gesture to represent everyone's closeness, affection, and gratitude toward Sebastiano, a young man who served with dedication and who will forever remain in our hearts as a brother and colleague."
As of the morning of November 15, just over 14,000 euros had been donated.
