Cagliari, the bathing ban at Poetto has been revoked: the emergency is over
It is now possible to swim again even in the stretch of sea that was closed for two days

Green light to swim at Poetto, in the stretch between the Marino hospital and the Ottagono (with the latter establishment that was not affected by the previous restrictions). The ordinance that revokes the bathing ban established on Friday has just been signed by the mayor Massimo Zedda: all parameters within the norm, according to what was communicated by Arpas after the tests carried out today.
"As expected, the arrival of the mistral last night was enough to eliminate the problem in a few hours," says Mayor Massimo Zedda. "If it had been created by an illegal sewage discharge or a broken sewage pipe, it would not have been possible to reopen the stretch of sea to bathing."
The emergency lasted just under forty-eight hours , although there was certainly no shortage of inconvenience , especially for the managers of kiosks and beach establishments . Until yesterday afternoon, the bathing ban was also in force on state road 195, the Sulcitana, at kilometers 5 and 6 : it was the first area "liberated". The decision was taken following the information notes from Arpas on the results of the analyses on the samples taken at the water quality monitoring points from which "the alteration of microbiological parameters" had emerged.
This morning, in the part of Poetto that was banned, very few people defied the ban to go swimming: now, however, it is once again possible to enter the water without any health risks .
