Definitive green light to the Feast of Sant'Efisio as it was known before the coronavirus pandemic , which forced two years of canceled celebrations or in any case in reduced form.

The return of the faithful and tourists to Cagliari has been officially ratified by the Committee for Public Order and Security .

The Municipality - which has already issued the list of changes to the city viability to allow the organization and conduct of the party - will present the initiatives planned for the 366th edition tomorrow at a press conference.

At the "baptism" will be present among others the mayor Paolo Truzzu , the archbishop of Cagliari Giuseppe Baturi , the Alter Nos Viviana Lantini and the regional councilor for tourism Gianni Chessa .

There will also be the mayors of the other municipalities touched by the saint's pilgrimage, namely Pula, Sarroch, Villa San Pietro and Capoterra .

The green light of the Security Committee comes after the announcement, in recent days, by the mayor Truzzu, who had anticipated, on Facebook: “After two years the people will be able to embrace Sant'Efisio again . We have waited for it, privately and in silence renewing the promise of the city ”. Adding: "On May 1st we will be able to give him our homage, dissolve the vote and admire together once again that extraordinary kaleidoscope of colors, scents and traditions".
