Used to transport drugs to Cagliari and seized at the end of an anti-drug operation by the Guardia di Finanza, the Samurai Jack , a sixteen-meter sailboat , was handed over to the New SardiniaSail association which carries out social integration projects for children who they have had problems with justice.

The ceremony took place this morning between the docks of the art-naval operational department of the Guardia di Finanza of Cagliari at Porto Canale .

The boat was the focus of an investigation by the Fiamme Gialle of Sardinia: off the coast of Cagliari it was carrying a ton of marijuana.

Now a sports association, active for nine years in the social sector, will use it for training initiatives and projects dedicated to children in charge of the juvenile justice department and the social service for minors of Cagliari. It was the regional commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Claudio Bolognese, who handed over the boat and the keys to the manager of New SardiniaSail, Simone Camba. In recent years, the association has taken care of about 500 young people, included in projects and courses for their reintegration into society.
