Two Cagliari boys, aged 16 and 15, are responsible for the fire that destroyed the StraKrash neighbourhood centre on Via Brianza in Cagliari a week ago.

The eldest of the perpetrators, accompanied by his mother, told the Carabinieri of the Sant'Avendrace station what had happened: the two had entered the building after breaking a glass window in the entrance door .

A blitz dictated by boredom and the desire to do something special, perhaps even filming themselves with their cell phones. Using spray cans and lighters, they would have simulated a challenge with flame-throwing "weapons". But something went wrong: the fire attacked the books in the library and the situation became unmanageable. At that point, the two ran away.

The news of the fire went around the neighborhoods of Is Mirrionis and San Michele, also bouncing on social media. And the indication of the possible culprits began to circulate, reaching the Carabinieri who were carrying out the investigation, also with the collaboration of the Police officers. In the end the two boys, aged 15 and 16, were identified and reported for damage following a fire.
