" In case of no agreement we are ready to strike ". The meeting requested by the councilor Bartolazzi who boycotted at the last minute, about two hours of heated assembly and finally the note sent to the Prefect that formalizes the state of agitation of the medical and health management of Arnas Brotzu .
The unions were united and gathered at 10 in the Businco hall, where the number one of Health Armando Bertolazzi did not show up, then the midday meeting, with about one hundred and fifty people present , concluded with the note that puts down in black and white the bad mood that has been felt for some time in the largest hospital on the island.
«The undersigned trade union organizations of the medical and healthcare management, hereby proclaim a state of agitation, announcing their intention to call a strike and to request the formal activation, within the time limits established by law, of the cooling-off procedure and the conciliation of disputes», reads the note signed by the company and regional secretariat Anaao-Assomed, Aaroi EMac, Cimo, Cgil Fp, Cisl medici, Fassid, Fesmed, Fvm and Uil Fpl .
In the same document, two points summarize the reasons for the protest: the failure to sign the Company Supplementary Contract (unapplied since January), and the failure to apply regional law 1 of 2023 , which in paragraph 14 of article 5, allocated the resources necessary to proceed with an equalization that never took place .
The document, also sent to the management of Brotzu, also announces the workers' unwillingness to perform overtime and additional services . "We are waiting for the meeting with the Prefect, but we are not willing to back down on our requests. If there is no agreement, we will start a strike ," the unions announce.
In the evening, a note arrived from Councillor Bartolazzi , who explained the reasons for his absence today ( «Institutional commitments» ) and announced that he had called the unions for Friday 18 October , reassuring them of his desire to resolve the dispute «soon».
