Ground crews and aircraft, including two Canadairs, are responding to a fire that broke out in Aglientu in the Monti Russu pine forest, on the road between Castelsardo and Santa Teresa Gallura, where there are also tourist villas.

Two parking lots between the beaches of Narcau Nieddu and Lu Litarroni were evacuated , while the local police made bathers move away from the coast.

On-site, the director of the Luogosanto Forestry Corps station is coordinating the fire-fighting operations.

Several firefighter teams from Santa Teresa Gallura, Valledoria, and Tempio were also on site, along with an official from the Sassari fire station.
